Hi there! I’m Stephanie Van’t Zelfden, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), food writer, home cook, and most recently, a mom. I’m also the founder of Nutrition Hungry, a food & nutrition blog and website that offers simple nutrition advice to hungry families.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Nutrition Sciences from Brooklyn College, and completed my dietetic internship at Queens College. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from New York University, and was a project manager & operations director in the private equity industry. Since starting my career in nutrition, I have worked in daycare centers, preschools, non-profit organizations, and nursing homes. I have counseled people of all ages, from infants to seniors, on healthy eating, managing food allergies, and other nutrition challenges.

Since becoming a mom, I have learned first-hand the unique challenges that come along with feeding a family. My philosophy is that every parent deserves the opportunity to cook and share meals with their family. Through simple, science-based nutrition advice, easy & healthy recipes, and cooking lessons that bring kids into the kitchen, my pragmatic approach enables parents to confidently feed their families.
