Parents of Picky Eaters Workshop

Is your kid stuck in a rut when it comes to food?

Do they make a face and roll their eyes every time you serve them a new food?

Does their lunchbox come home completely untouched?

This 2-part group workshop will give you the mindset, tools, and strategies to help your kids feel ready to explore new foods. Plus, you’ll get time to chat with me directly to ask questions and get advice on feeding your family!

After this workshop, you’ll feel confident in how to help your picky kid feel brave around new foods. They may not love every new food you offer, but they’ll be able to start coming out of their shell and be more curious and adventurous around foods.

You’ll also feel better prepared to help your kids get all the nutrition their growing bodies need. There is no one food that is essential for good health, and by focusing on variety, you can help your kids get great nutrition.

Best of all, you’ll get an end to the drama and stress of mealtimes. You’ll finally get to have family meals where there is no tension or arguing about what everyone’s eating. Mealtimes can be about enjoying everyone’s company, having fun, and sharing food together.

Workshop Content

Part #1 - Understanding Picky Eating & Strategies To Help

In this session, we’ll explore reasons why your kid might be a picky eater, because it’s really really common. Then, we’ll work on reframing our thoughts and goals about feeding kids. We’ll see how the cycle of endless worrying about our kids’ nutrition can leave us feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, and how to get ourselves out of that cycle. You’ll also learn 5 tried and true strategies that will help your kid feel ready to make some new food friends, and make your life a bit easier as well. We’ll talk about these strategies and why they work, and how to incorporate them into your daily life. This session ends with time for Q&A.

Part #2 - Hands-on Activities & Getting Extra Support

In this session, you’ll learn more than 20 activities you can do with your kids today to help them start to feel ready to try new foods. We’ll explore activities that are simple easy and mess-free, and some activities that are more hands-on and great for a quieter day at home. We’ll also talk about situations where you might be considering getting some extra support for your kid’s eating. I’ll share some information that you can use to assess if your kid might need some extra support with eating, and where you can look to find that support. This session ends with time for Q&A.
